UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE CLOSED PERMANENTLY -
It has been a struggle to find qualified staff in our kitchen and with rising food costs, utilities and wages a decision was made to close the restaurant.
We thank all our wonderful customers for their support over the years. It has been an amazing journey.
Hopefully we will find someone to take on the lease and reopen for the community.

FT Local Kitchen and Bar is an evolution from Flame Trees Burger Bar. Flame Trees FTG was established in 2017 after we saw an opportunity to take on the old Captain America’s site in Ferntree Gully. Being locals, we wanted to bring back the history of families gathering and enjoying themselves at the restaurant, to create a family venue that all felt comfortable to visit.
The Covid lockdowns of 2020 showed us tremendous support from the local community and for that we are extremely grateful. We didn’t waste our time and kept ourselves busy renovating extensively, inside and out, creating unique spaces for the local community. Along with the physical renovations, we also thought to renovate our menu. We hope that our new menu will offer customers greater variety and choice and that we too will become a locally renowned restaurant in the City of Knox.
